Each institution may select two
teachers to compete in the Humorous speech contest.
The contestants shall select the subject for humorous speech.
The speakers should avoid potentially objectionable language, anecdotes
and material.
Speakers should not include sex, and religion in the speech.
Each contestant must prepare his or her own four to five minutes
speech, which must be substantially original.
Any quoted material must be so identified during the speech
presentation.
The speech must be thematic in nature (opening, body and conclusion),
not a monologue (series of one-liners).
Speeches shall be from four to five minutes.
Contestants who speak less than three minutes thirty seconds or more
than five minutes thirty seconds will be disqualified.
In the event of technical failure, a speaker is allowed 30 seconds
extra over time before being disqualified.
The contest will be held in CATHOLIC CLUB, 12 Museum Road, Bangalore-25 on Saturday, 17th June 2006. Registrations will begin at 1.30PM. Starting time 2PM. Latecomers will not be entertained.
Last date for confirming the
participation is Monday, 12th June 2006.

All contestant will speak from the same platform or area designated by the contest chairman. A lectern/podium will be provided, however the use of lectern/podium is optional.
Decisions of the judges are final and protests will not be entertained.
Entry Fee: Rs 250/- for two entries per School.
Winners will receive trophies, cash prizes and certificates on Saturday, 24th June 2006, at a mega function that is organised at St. Josephs Boys High School, Museum Road, followed by Dinner.
Number of Prizes: Only Individual Prizes.
1st prize Memento and cash Prize.
2nd Prize Memento and Cash Prize.
3rd Prize Memento and Cash Prize
Certificate for all Participants.
