Procedure to become a member:

• Anyone who wants to become a member should attend at least three meetings of the Bangalore Toastmasters Club as a guest to acquaint himself/herself with the Club.
• On deciding to be a member, he/she should duly fill up the new member form and hand it over to the VP membership. For reinstated membership, dual membership and club transfer the filled in forms needs to be handed over to the treasurer (Basavraj Arani)
• There will be a voting-in ceremony which seeks the existing members approval.
• If the approval is obtained, a swearing-in ceremony shall follow.
• The duly filled application form will be collected by the VP Membership (Sanjay Hassa) and it will be done only on the day scheduled for voting in/swearing in ceremony. Ideally every month one such ceremony will be conducted.
• Confirm your participation via email to vpmbtmc@yahoo.in at least one day prior to the scheduled ceremony. Also, in the email provide your place of residence and a choice of mentor if any. Also if you want a mentor from any particular location kindly mention the same.
• Members coming for the voting-in/swearing-in ceremony should dress formally.
• Ensure that you have read the FAQ and Benefits. Ensure one is clear of the same.
• The fees details are mentioned in the Subscription Details. Fill the right amount in the application and choose one of the following payment options:

• Ensure that as a new member, you have spoken to the VP Education (Anmol Garg) to be clear about your educational goals to be pursued as Toastmasters.
• On failing to meet any of the above conditions one will not be allowed for voted in/sworn in.
• It shall remain the prerogative of the VP Membership to cancel the scheduled voting in/swearing in ceremony without any prior notice.
• VP membership in consultation with VP-Education will arrange a mentor for the new entrant.
• Installation confirms membership to Bangalore Toastmasters Club and to the club egroup.
• Important Notice: As per the resolution adopted in the 3rd February 2012 business meeting, guests will be charged a nominal fee of Rs. 30/-. The amount may be handed over to the Treasurer at the beginning of the meeting or at the time of the refreshment break.

Half-Yearly Renewal:Rs. 3000/-

A new member who is being sworn in at the beginning of a term (i.e the scheduled swearing in ceremony falls on the moths of April/October)  shall pay a total of 1400 + 3000 = Rs. 4400/-. For each month elapsed from the start of the renewal period, the member can deduct Rs.500/- per each elapsed month.

For instance if the swearing in ceremony is in February, 4 months would have elapsed from the start of a renewal period. Hence 4*500 = 2000, can be deducted from Rs. 3000. Hence, the joining fee = 1400 +(3000-2000) =  2400/-
